UPDATE: Death Notice: Phyllis Joy (Houser) Burch, 85, of Jasonville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in Glenburn Home, Linton, Indiana. Visitation is at Cox Funeral Home, 218 S. Meridian St., Jasonville from 5 - 8 p.m.on Sunday, October 26, 2014.  Funeral Services at 8:00 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating at the funeral home.   Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery, Midland, Indiana on Monday, October 27, 11: 00 a.m..

UPDATE: Death notice: Dean M. Dickey, 84, of Jasonville, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 in his residence.  Arrangements by Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 S. Meridian St., Jasonville, with visitation 5 - 8 p.m. Saturday, October 25, and noon until services Sunday, October 26, at the funeral home.   Services are 2 p.m., with his grandson, Van Dickey and his nephew, Pastor Warren Kirkwood officiating.  Interment at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, Indiana.

UPDATE: Death Notice: Barry G. Keller, 52, of Clay City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 in St. Vincent-Clay Hospital in Brazil, Indiana. Visitation is at Cox Funeral Home, 218 S. Meridian St., Jasonville, Indiana, from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, October 24.  Services are at 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.  Interment at a later date in Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, Indiana.

UPDATE: Death Notice: William D. "Bill" Simpson, 80 of Hymera, Indiana, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.  Arrangements entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, Jasonville, Indiana, with visitation Thursday, October 23 from 5-8 p.m. and with Masonic Rites at 7:30 p.m., and Friday, October 24 from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Services are 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Olin Strader officiating.  Interment at K of P Cemetery in Hymera.  Contributions may be made in memory of Bill to Disabled Veterans.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

The beauty of Shakamak State Park.  This is Lake Kickapoo,one of 3 lakes in the park.  The park is located a mile or so from Jasonville, and has around 300,000 visitors each year.
